Meet the Instructor Team at St.George Martial Arts Academy
Master George has been training in the Martial Arts for over 30 years with extensive competition experience in Judo and Taekwondo. In addition to his two core systems of choice he has experience in Wing Chun Kung Fu and Kick Boxing. His Martial Arts journey spans 3 decades and he has been a student for many years under some of the most respected Grand Masters in Australia. He is the Master Instructor of St.George Martial Arts Academy and is an advocate for healthy, safe and active living for all. He is an internationally registered 4th Degree Black Belt Master Instructor with Kukkiwon – World Taekwondo Headquarters and is the Head Instructor of our Seniors (Teens and Adults program).
HEAD INSTRUCTOR | NINJAS
Head Instructor Jacky has been training in Taekwondo since 2012 and is an absolute asset to St.George Martial Arts Academy. She is a gifted and well trained Martial Arts Instructor and is literally responsible for the success of Sydney's fastest growing kids martial arts program – Ninjas (3-7yrs). Jacky is constantly pushing the boundaries of what pre-schoolers can achieve by participating in Martial Arts classes at such a young age. She has exceptional technique and shares her pursuit of excellence with her young warriors. She is an internationally registered 1st Degree Black Belt with Kukkiwon – World Taekwondo Headquarters and is the Head Instructor of our Ninjas program (3-7 years).
Instructor Claudio commenced his Martial Arts journey back in 1995 in his home country of Brazil and joined SGMAA in early 2018. He has since established himself as a team player and a respected member of our Black Belt Instructor Team. Claudio has won countless championships in both Sparring (Kyorugi) and Patterns (Poomsae) dating from as far back as 1995 to present day and shares his experience of competition culture with every student in his care. Claudio brings world class technique and lives the tenets of Taekwondo by leading by example to SGMAA students. He carries the true Martial Arts spirit. Claudio is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and is an integral part of the SGMAA Instructor Team.
Head Instructor Nicholas started his Martial Arts career back in the 1990's with Taekwondo. With a passion for sparring and competitive fighting Nicholas hungered for further knowledge in the Martial Arts and added Bujinkan Ninjutsu to his resume. He has been a student of some of the most respected Grand Masters in Australia. In addition, he found a deep interest in Krav Maga (IDF) and has established himself as an advocate of mixing the speed, accuracy and power of Taekwondo with the deadly force and technique of Krav Maga. He is an internationally registered 3rd Degree Black Belt with Kukkiwon – World Taekwondo Headquarters and is the Head Instructor of our Juniors program (8-12 years).
INSTRUCTOR | SPARRING
Instructor Arthur commenced his Martial Arts journey back in 1984 and soon after achieved his first tournament win as a Yellow belt. His passion for full-contact competition fighting took over and soon after, became a consistent champion, winning every tournament he entered. Arthur became an unstoppable fighter in the NSW state level tournament scene and was the undefeated Black Belt champion in his division 2 years straight. Present day, he assists in developing new generation Taekwondo fighters in achieving their competition goals and is a 1st Degree Black Belt with Kukkiwon – World Taekwondo Headquarters. Arthur brings his signature kicking power and speed to SGMAA and is a valued team member.
